We are delighted to confirm Hibernian Supporters will be the Legends Sponsor for next weekend’s match against St Johnstone.

The Easter Road fixture, which coincides with the 80^th birthday of our one and only Honourary Member – the legendary Pat Stanton – will see the Hibernian Supporters table in Pioneers gifted to Pat and a selection of his former teammates in order to celebrate his big birthday in style.

With the Legends sponsorship package, we hope members and fans will agree it’s a perfect fit to mark Pat’s milestone birthday and we are honoured that some of the most recognisable names in Hibs history will be our guests for the day alongside our members.

Joining Pat at Easter Road on the day will be: John Brownlie, John Blackley, Alex Edwards, John Hazel, Tony Higgins, Ally McLeod, Jim McArthur and Jackie McNamara.

As part of the sponsorship package, Hibernian Supporters will receive eight places in the club’s Tornadoes hospitality suite which will be offered to members as four pairs of tickets, with the opportunity to opt-in for the match open until 5pm on Tuesday.

Hibernian Supporters will also feature on the big screens at Easter Road throughout the match with a birthday message for Pat, and we will offer members the chance to win the signed first team shirt which we will receive as sponsors on the day.

Speaking ahead of his 80^th birthday on Friday, Pat Stanton said he was anticipating a memorable day at Easter Road as the club welcomes St Johnstone next Saturday:

“I’m really looking forward to celebrating my birthday at Easter Road in the company of some good friends and former teammates next weekend. It’s always great to catch up and talk about football and Hibs together.

“It’s lovely that Hibernian Supporters have invited us along to spend the day as their guests in the Pioneers suite, so a big thanks to their members for the continued support and to the volunteers for all the hard work they put in.”

Hibernian Supporters chairman Jim Adie has grown to know Pat well over the years and he was delighted the club’s legendary former player and manager was receptive of the idea when it was first put forward to him.

“Pat has been a great supporter of our work over the years and remains our only Honourary Member, we are really excited to be able to welcome him and some of his former team mates to our Pioneers table for Saturday’s game against St Johnstone.
