The thoughts of everyone at Hibernian Supporters are with the family, friends and colleagues of Ron Gordon following his sad passing earlier today.

Ron’s passion and commitment for the club following his acquisition of a majority stake in June 2019 was clear to see and he worked tirelessly every day to support the success of Hibernian Football Club.

His passing is a sad day for everyone associated with the club and we express our thanks to Ron for all of his efforts in moving the club forward.

Hibernian Supporters chairman Jim Adie said:

“It’s terribly sad to hear of Ron’s passing and the thoughts of Hibernian Supporters and our members are with Kit and all of the Gordon family at this difficult time.

“We also share our condolences with Ben Kensell and everyone at Easter Road and East Mains who worked closely with Ron every day.

“Ron’s desire to help Hibernian succeed was clear to see and his passion for the club, football and Edinburgh drove him forwards – he will be missed by everyone at the club.”
