Everyone at Hibernian Supporters was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Sir Tom Farmer, at the age of 84.
We are sure all of our members, as well as the wider Hibernian support, will wish to join us in offering our condolences to Sir Tom’s family and friends at this sad time.
Sir Tom Farmer played a major role in the history of our club and indeed in the community and country at large. His charitable work is well recorded and many people at home and abroad have benefited from his generosity.
Hibernian Supporters chairman Jim Adie said:
“I knew Sir Tom and of course met him many times at the outset of our journey as an organisation. He was always kind and always wanted the best for Hibs.
“I think I speak for most Hibs supporters in my belief that we were all pleased for him that he was at the helm when the Scottish Cup was finally brought to Easter Road.”
