It is with great sadness that we share the terrible news of the passing of one of our Founding Directors, Stephen Dunn.
Stephen was also a director of the club, on three occasions, and a true Hibee. He was a loyal and generous member of Hibernian Supporters and believed wholeheartedly in the cause.
We cannot thank him enough for all the time, effort and wisdom he gave to the organisation and to his fellow directors.
Stephen dedicated lots of his time to Hibernian and he was heavily involved in the Hibernian Historical Trust, which is currently completing the creation of a set of Famous Five busts. We are sure the completed works will act as a fitting reminder of Stephen’s commitment to Hibs.
Stephen’s favourite player, and Honorary Hibernian Supporters member, Pat Stanton reflected:
“Stephen was one of the most honest and generous Hibs supporters I have ever met. He didn’t live far from me in Niddrie and was so proud of his roots. I feel humbled to have been held in such esteem by so great a Hibs supporter.”
We pass on our condolences to Stephen’s family and close friends at this time and may he rest in peace.
His memory marches on.
