It’s Scottish Cup final week. Hibernian take on St Johnstone at Hampden Park on Saturday afternoon with Jack Ross and the players looking to deliver an incredibly successful season after securing a third-place finish in the Premiership.

After much speculation unfortunately there will be no fans at the match itself but despite that you can still back the team with our latest campaign.

The Final Push aims to raise additional funds for the playing budget ahead of a summer where the club will be looking to build a squad fit for European competition. For every suggested donation of £10 (or multiples of £10) supporters will be entered into a draw to win a home shirt signed by the cup final squad.

Hibernian Supporters are the club’s second largest shareholder and have donated in excess of £200,000 for the football club during the 2020/21 season while Easter Road has sat empty. We are asking fans to consider backing The Final Push if they are in a position to do so and would have otherwise made the trip to Glasgow for the cup final.

Our #Hampden100k campaign showed the difference supporters can make to the club on a day-to-day basis and with over 7,000 season tickets sold for 2021/22 it’s clearer than ever that the strength of the club starts with the fans.

Hibernian Supporters chairman Jim Adie said fans should only consider backing The Final Push if they are in a position to do so and believes we have the chance to end the season on a high as the club looks ahead to European football after the summer.

“The backing we’ve seen from the Hibs support over the last 12 months has been overwhelming. In June 2020 our members came forward and displayed a desire to help the club through a difficult trading period by passing all Hibernian Supporters contributions on to the club by way of donations.

“As well as helping the club – as other fans have done – we also wanted to step up to the plate and take on board our responsibility as a major shareholder. We have not been found wanting.

Jim continued: “Unfortunately, the way to pandemic has unfolded has meant supporters have now gone more than a year without seeing the team play in the flesh but we are proud of the work we’ve done to support the club this season and we’re sure The Final Push will prove to be another example of the fans going above and beyond to back the club.

“Fans should only donate funds they will not otherwise miss or would have spent on a ticket for the final in normal circumstances. I can’t thank everyone enough for their continued support.”
