Consultation Update & Looking Ahead

A huge thank you to all members who took part in our recent membership consultation, which has been available to complete on our website in the last couple of months.

Following the investment in the club from Black Knight FC we committed to giving members the opportunity to share their thoughts with us as we look to build a refreshed, positive future for the club and Hibernian Supporters, as we move forward into a new chapter for Hibernian FC.

With the 2023/24 season coming to an end, we felt it was an appropriate time to bring the supporter consultation to a close and reflect on the outcomes shaped by the 200+ members who took part.

As an organisation whose primary objective is to purchase and hold shares in Hibernian FC, we can confirm 90% of members who took part in the consultation told us they support our involvement in a future share issue in the club.

We can also confirm 83% of members who took part in the consultation are in favour of Hibernian Supporters increasing our financial activity with the club via sponsorships, supporting specific one-off projects and the continued purchase of seasonal places in the club’s Pioneers hospitality suite.

To that end we are pleased to confirm, following positive discussions with the club and continued excellent feedback from winning members, that we have increased the table in Pioneers back to 10 places for the 2024/25 season – giving members even more chance of winning a memorable day with the club when the new campaign gets up and running.

We were also delighted to support Hibernian Women’s recent ‘An Evening with Cup Winners’ event at Easter Road as table sponsors, with a £3000 contribution which will help to fund the club’s pre-season plans.

These types of activities represent ways in which we can support the club with meaningful financial input – thanks to the ongoing backing of our members – whilst also providing supporters with tangible returns for their contributions.

Finally, we can confirm that 69% of members who completed the survey indicated that they did not support a return to gifted donations to the club.

Looking Ahead

We know there have been a range of views shared about Hibernian Supporters and our role with the club in recent months and we are grateful to all members who took part in the website consultation, who have emailed us with their thoughts or have engaged with us online, away from home and at Easter Road.

With a strong indication from members of the direction which they wish Hibernian Supporters to take as we embark on the beginnings of a new era with the club, we are excited and reinvigorated to work with the club positively moving forward – with lots of possibilities as we build towards the 2024/25 season.

We have had encouraging conversations with the club in recent weeks and with a new and improved Hibernian Supporters website on the way we are hopeful we can start to look forward together.

Whether you are a lapsed member who has paused your contributions or a supporter who is yet to get involved with Hibernian Supporters, we would urge you to join us on the journey as we look to support the club in a number of ways under the guidance of a new manager at Easter Road.

We are all Hibernian supporters and we all want what’s best for the club, if you can restart your monthly payments or encourage others to do so – we would really appreciate your backing.

As ever, if you have any questions or would like to share any suggestions as we move forward, please email us on [email protected].
