Hibernian picked up three points on the return from the international break as Jack Ross’ side took on St Mirren in Paisley on Saturday.

Martin Boyle added to first half goals from Kevin Nisbet and Joe Newell to secure a 3-0 win to get back to winning ways following a disappointing result against Aberdeen last time out.

The Hibernian Supporters Man of the Match vote was live once again, with Sandra Macdonald’s name pulled from the hat to win the £250 prize pot.

Speaking after being informed she had won the cash prize, Sandra said she was delighted to be named the lucky winner.

“I’m absolutely delighted to win the Man of the Match draw. I have been doing the Happy Hibee draw on match days for over 20 years without a win so this was a great surprise – it is a good idea for fans to get our say on the Man of the Match.”

Sandra says being a Hibernian Supporters contributor gives her the chance to support the club financially. She was pleased to see the team bounce back after defeat to Aberdeen and with five academy graduates on the pitch at full time she is delighted to see more young players making the breakthrough.

“I joined Hibernian Supporters because it makes me feel I am doing something in a small way to help the club I love.

“It was good to get a win after the Aberdeen game. The start to the season has been excellent and hopefully we can push on this season. The new signings seem to be fitting in well and it is good to see our homegrown youngsters getting a chance.”

We have now been running our trial for six weeks and it seems an appropriate point to review things and consider what changes need to be made to improve voting levels.
